Substance Use Counseling

Our substance use counselors provide compassionate support for individuals at any stage of recovery. Through evidence-based counseling, we help patients better understand their substance use, develop healthy coping strategies, prevent relapse, and work toward meaningful recovery goals. Whether you're ready to make a change, exploring your options, or supporting a loved one, our team is here to help. Counseling can be used on its own or combined with medication-assisted treatment to support each person's unique recovery goals.

Medication for Substance Use

Medications can help make it easier to reduce or stop the use of alcohol, tobacco, opioids, and other substances. Our providers offer evidence-based treatment options to help reduce cravings, manage withdrawal symptoms, and support long-term recovery.

Available medications include Suboxone®, Sublocade®, Vivitrol®, and oral naltrexone, with options tailored to your individual needs and recovery goals.

Medications

  • Suboxone: A daily medication that dissolves under the tongue. It contains buprenorphine and naloxone, which work together to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, and block the effects of opioids.
  • Sublocade: A long-acting injection of buprenorphine given under the skin once every 28 days. It helps manage opioid cravings and withdrawal without needing daily doses.
  • Vivitrol: An injection given once every 28 days. It blocks the effects of opioids and reduces cravings. Vivitrol can be used to treat both opioid use and alcohol use.
  • Oral Naltrexone: This is a pill you can take every day to reduce your urge for heavy drinking.
