Training & Certifications

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Chris completed his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with an emphasis in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has worked previously as a community mental health services provider. Chris has completed professional training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In 2023, Chris was licensed as a Substance Abuse Counselor- In Training.

Special Interests (Areas of Focus)

Chris practices a collaborative and goal-oriented approach to counseling with a focus on cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal therapeutic tools. He enjoys working with a wide range of individuals across the lifespan. He has particular experience working with adolescents and young adults, treating anxiety, depression, mood concerns, relationship challenges, stress, low self-esteem, and unwanted habits.

Hobbies & Personal Interests

In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors. He has a lifelong interest in positive psychology, mindful awareness, and meditation practices. As a professional social worker, Chris has a passion for service, volunteering and contributing to local organizations when able.
