Scenic Bluffs is focused on improving chronic pain management resources and support for patients and communities. In an effort to broaden our pain management offerings and encourage complementary treatments for pain management that support healthy lifestyles, we are excited to announce that acupuncture services are available again at Scenic Bluffs.
In January, we welcomed Licensed Acupuncturist Rebeca Ratté to our complementary therapies department. Appointments are available for scheduling on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Cashton Health Center.
Rebeca, a Licensed Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, earned her Master of Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University. She also attended Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for advanced training at their hospital and university. Her training includes more than 3,000 hours of study, clinical instruction and internship in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is also a Reiki practitioner and Tai Chi Instructor. In addition to being licensed in Wisconsin and Minnesota, Rebeca is also a National Board Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Rebeca uses compassionate listening, clear intention and health history to address underlying conditions and symptoms of disease. Areas of interest include orthopedic/sports medicine, pain management, women’s health, men’s health, anxiety, depression, nutrition, and digestive complaints. She has experience treating a wide-range of chronic and acute health issues.
Complementary therapies offer pain management options that can lessen the need for strong, and potentially addictive pain medications. These services are essential components of our model of care because they respect our patients’ interest in options for chronic pain management and align with our patient centered approach. In addition to acupuncture services, our complementary therapies department offers chiropractic and massage therapy appointments for health center patients.
