Enhancing Lifesaving Skills with Theisen's Grant Support

Enhancing Lifesaving Skills with Theisen's Grant Support

Scenic Bluffs is thrilled to be a recipient of the Theisen's More for Your Community grant, which supports the purchase of new CPR training equipment. This grant strengthens efforts in promoting health, safety and preparedness across the communities we serve.

Scenic Bluffs provides lifesaving classes that teach the skills and confidence needed for effective, high-quality CPR and first aid. These classes equip community members to respond to emergencies effectively, significantly improving outcomes and reducing fatalities—especially in rural areas where emergency services may face longer response times.

In 2024, Scenic Bluffs hosted 38 classes, training 143 individuals in American Red Cross Basic Life Support, First Aid, and CPR. Scenic Bluffs partners with local businesses, public school districts, childcare facilities, and other organizations to provide training, while also offering courses to the general community. For those requiring certification, only the American Red Cross fee is charged.

The Theisen’s More for your Community grant helps Scenic Bluffs meet the growing demand for CPR and First Aid classes. As one of the primary local training facilities, there is often high demand for training classes. To maximize training capabilities, more equipment is needed, such as additional CPR manikins, AED trainers and BLS workbooks, among other.. With this grant support, Scenic Bluffs can purchase these new resources allowing classed to be conducted classes concurrently to train more individuals per session, while also ensuring participants have access to up-to-date tools for hands-on learning. By continuing to provide these vital classes, we are helping to create a safer, healthier, and more prepared community.

For more information about our CPR training programs or to schedule a class, contact Scenic Bluffs at 608-654-5100.
